This was the second from last show of Tinie Tempah’s European Youth tour, with Cologne being the penultimate, ending the tour on the 6th April. This tour showcased Tinie’s career from the release of Pass Out in 2010 all the way through to some unreleased songs which come from his studio album Youth which is due to be released on 14th April.
Although he performed many songs which were unknown to the audience, he kept us thoroughly engaged. Most of his unreleased songs came with a great deal of energy, obvious from Tinie’s on stage topless antics and champagne spraying in the crowd. While DJ Charlesy launched himself into the centre of audience completing Tinie’s job of making sure everyone was drenched in champs from head to toe.
The venue was very intimate, with a capacity of only four-hundred, as Tinie said himself on stage ‘It’s hard to get shows in Germany’. Nevertheless, Tempah can easily entertain a packed out O2 arena capacity of twenty thousand as well as a cosy capacity of four-hundred.
Tinie obviously wanted to accommodate the German crowd, as halfway through the show he brought out the national flag, as well as occasionally using some German phrases. This most defiantly won some fans over as they put their all into participation from singing along to moshpits and the Tsunami dance.
